Carly Roworth

From a very young age Carly Roworth has aspired to be a writer. Born in South Australia Carly grew up with a vivid imagination and a passion for reading and writing. Her interests lie in writing Fantasy but she also enjoys dabbling in science fiction and other genres.
At present Carly is working on the second book in a fantasy trilogy. Carly creates an awe inspiring world of fantasy that will keep you turning the pages. Overwhelmed by ideas Carly barely has enough time to commit them to paper, as she works full time as an Environmental Project Officer. Having joined the Kensington & Norwood writers group in 2007 Carly has found their support and encouragement valuable and is starting to realise that her dreams will come true.

The most extraordinary craving I get is for words. More demanding than my need for chocolate is my need to write. There is an ever-present need to create characters, stories and entire worlds unlike my own.
So many people ask, ‘How do you manage to find the time to write?’
How can I explain that I must? There is a feeling that comes over me, almost dragging me into one of my worlds of enchantment, mystery and adventure. I feel the need for excitement, romance and magic. It seems as if I am floating between this world and one of my creations. Then I know I must write.
The thoughts flow continuously. Even if I am not ready to express them in words, they are there in my head. Whole books have come to me in a second, while others meander along as I travel the journey with my characters.
When I do not write I feel that my spirit is shackled, that part of me is missing. So I will always write. The words must be found and shaped, the stories told, the adventures lived. I have to write. I love to write.
A writer is who I am.
