Kensington and Norwood Writers' Group
together
the photos
of family
are an illusion
this moment
does not wait
for
ghosts
separated
empty
bitter
moments
our lives
continue
rarely noticed
like memories
we
smile
the
grouping
now permanent
on paper
we gaze
we laugh
today together
the next
parting
leaving
except for one
resuming
the photos
preserve
cluster
for
comfort
our clasped hands
imprinting
the present
into the past
as shadows
this hour
this place
will be
remembered
all
our days
on little bits of paper
colours fading
