Resolution

We watched the towers burn, we saw them fall
and couldn’t leave the window of the screen;
absorbed into the horror of it all
we can’t forget the images we’ve seen.
America we hear your people cry;
our people weep with you, in empathy-
we bowed our heads today in sad goodbye
as one with you, our kin across the sea.

These fools have just united us. We stand
beside you at this time of need, in pain
for those we’ve never known. The callous hand
of evil struck us all; it tried in vain

to bring us down with thousands... instead there
are millions down. We’re on our knees in prayer.
